Chamber Announces Formation of Human Resource Council

Kenneth MacCormac, Chairman of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the Chamber’s merger with the Middlesex County Human Resource Association (MCHRA).  The result of this merger is a new Human Resource Council led by Chairperson Carol DuPlessis and Vice Chairperson Anne Peabody-Brostek. This new council will be open to all Chamber member professionals seeking a greater understanding of the Human Resources function in business.  Members will benefit from workshops that feature expert speakers on key topics in the field. The objective of the Human Resource Council is to bring together the Human Resources community from various business environments and backgrounds.  This new link will provide an opportunity for members to exchange ideas, knowledge, and experiences in order to foster professional development.  Also, the council will provide a forum for addressing local issues as a benefit to the region. The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Water’s Edge Resort.  A Business After Work function will be held immediately after the meeting’s conclusion.   For more information, please contact the Chamber at 860-347-6924.
