Creative Juice News and Notes PDF Print E-mail
Creative Juice met on May 8th at the Middlesex Chamber where we were able to see the debut performance of the Juice O’ Creativity Players, who carried out the silent melodrama "The Artist’s Dilemma!"  The dilemma will be the lead-in for the speaker at this meeting.  Kelly Smith of KGS Insurance Services / Ameriben Alliance spoke about "Health Insurance and the Artist" and she provided information about insurance opportunities for one-person entrepreneurs.

On April 10th, Heather Tolley-Bauer, owner of Done on the Run, LLC, a personal concierge business designed to help you create a life without lists, taught us the simple ways a creative mind can approach organizing stuff.  Her thoughtful presentation helped members think outside of the box when arranging their to-do lists.  Check out Heather's summary of Organization for the Creative Mind.

The next meeting will be on June 12th at the Chamber.

Paul Mayer, Executive Director, Central Regional Tourism District was the guest speaker at our meeting on March 13th.  Following up on Stacey and Ted's presentation in February, Paul targeted his message with a talk on "Tourism Branding & New Ways to Get Your Message Out."  His thoughtful comments on Points of Consideration for Branding a Business provided the good, the bad and the ugly of branding a business.

On February 14, 2008, Stacey Dyer, Triple Frog, LLC, and Ted Gingell, Essex Design & Display, made a presentation on branding your business.  Their Checklist of Ways to Brand Your Business will assist you as you grow and will help establish your business in the marketplace.  This informative forum was appreciated by all that attended.

As a courtesy to those who were not able to attend the Creative Juice meeting on January 10, 2008, we included the information about copyright law that was provided by presenter John Giammatteo, photographer and member of the Board of Directors of the American Society of Media Photographers, an international association of publication photographers. ASMP has been one of the strongest standard bearers for artist rights!

A big thank-you goes to John for taking the time to inform members about the ins and outs to protect their hard work and ideas!
