Contributions, dues or gifts to the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, Inc. are not tax deductible as charitable contributions. However, they may be tax deductible in part or in total as ordinary and necessary business expenses.
Payments by sponsors are voluntary, and not contingent on any endorsement or action of the exempt organization, nor upon specified or guaranteed member/public attendance at the sponsored event, nor upon publicity about the sponsored event, nor for any exclusive right to distribute or sell any product at the exempt organization's events. Annual Golf Tournament Our tournament is one of the premier amateur golf tournaments in the area. In addition to 18 holes of golf, players will enjoy a continental breakfast, lunch, cocktails, dinner and prizes. This event sells out early. Members support our tournament by sponsorships and prize donations. Sponsorships opportunities include $100 Tee Sponsor, $250 Gold Sponsor, $500 Titanium Sponsor and $1000 Platinum Sponsor. Cart, Dinner and Reception Sponsorship in the amount of $2500 are also available. The Cart, Reception and Dinner Sponsors receive significant recognition including a table at the dinner and the opportunity to network with the players after the tournament and prominent signage posted at the event. The Robert Briggs Good Guy Award is given annually to an individual for recognition of contributions made to the community and to the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce through the annual Golf Tournament. Our golf committee is chaired by Bob Briggs. Proceeds from the tournament support Chamber programs and the Lorraine McHugh Scholarship. Baldwin and the Lorraine McHugh Scholarships are presented. The Chief Michael L. Green Award is presented to a local police or fireman. The Annual Distinguished Citizen Awards are presented to individuals who live or work in Middlesex County and have demonstrated outstanding and unselfish service to the community. Incoming and outgoing Board Members are recognized, and the "Gavel is Passed" from our outgoing chairman to our new chairman. Chairmen Brian Armet and Pamela Peterson and the entire Expo Committee spend many months planning this event. The Chamber's Expo is on of the county's largest business showcases. Over 100 exhibitors representing a cross section of the businesses in Middlesex County display and promote their products and services. An estimated 5,500 people visit the Expo each year. For more information, contact Johanna Bond at Motorcycle Mania Committee Committee Activities Staff Liaison: Motorcycle Mania is an outstanding event that allows people to let their hair down and bring their ride downtown. For event is great for riders and families alike. Last year over 900 riders came to the downtown Middletown to show off their bikes. back to top Breakfast Sponsorship Information The Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce offers members quality events, programs and services at the lowest cost possible. The Chamber's monthly breakfast meetings are excellent networking events. In an effort to keep breakfasts affordable, the Chamber offers Breakfast Sponsorship Packages. With more than 2,350 members who employ more than 50,000 people, the Middlesex Chamber is the largest freestanding and fastest growing Chamber in the state. The Middlesex Chamber's member breakfast meetings are recognized as the best monthly speaking forum in the state. Averaging over 500 people in attendance, the monthly breakfasts are an excellent opportunity for speakers to address some of Connecticut's leading businesspeople and entrepreneurs.
