Through funding from the Connecticut Department of Labor the Cook Chef Program is designed to assist area restaurants with training individuals to the cook-chef occupation due to the overwhelming need for a skilled labor force. Participants receive 60 hours of classroom training followed by on the job training. Students participate in and receive a certificate in the ServSafe Program which is a food and beverage safety training and certificate course administered by the National Restaurant Association.
