Recap of the 41st Annual Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament

The Chamber’s Annual Golf tournament is the premier amateur golf tournament in the area. Proceeds from the tournament support the Chamber’s Youth Programs and the Lorraine C. McHugh Scholarship Fund, given to a graduating senior who will attend one of Connecticut’s State University System Schools. This year’s tournament, presented by Liberty Bank, was held on May 23, 2024 at Lyman Orchards Golf Club and once again was a sell out! We had the great fortune of having a fantastic day on the course with fantastic networking opportunities.

With 148 golfers and over 60 sponsors, the tournament was a huge success due in part to our outstanding committee led by Dante Fazzina. Many thanks to our fantastic golf committee who dedicate many hours of service to support this great event.

New this year, we offered a golf clinic and 9 hole tournament at Lyman’s Apple Nine Course. This first time event was enjoyed by over 20 golfers! Additionally, we introduced a golf cannon at the tournament, allowing participants to take their shot in a fun and exciting way for just $20 a shot!

We would also like to congratulate the 2024 “Robert Briggs Award” Recipient, Scotty Brown. Many thanks Scotty for your unsurpassed dedication to making a difference in our community!

Next year’s event is already on the horizon for Thursday, May 22, 2025—don’t forget to mark your calendar!
