The Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce holds "Business After Work" events almost every month at member restaurants, hotels and banquet facilities at no charge to our members. This is a great opportunity to meet and network with other business people. In addition, the Chamber holds numerous Annual Events including the Business Expo, Golf Tournament, Annual Awards Dinner and the "Taste of Middletown" Business After Work Auction. Remember to bring your business cards!
Monthly Member Breakfast Meetings
Be a part of the largest monthly breakfast forum in the state! Each month, the Chamber attracts some of the most recognized business, political and sports figures nationwide. Meetings are held at the Red Lion Hotel Cromwell (formerly the Radisson Hotel Cromwell) and includes a full buffet breakfast. There is no assigned seating so you can network with new people every month! A New Member Table is provided for our first-time breakfast goers! In an effort to keep our breakfasts affordable, the chamber also offers Breakfast Sponsorship packages. These packages are a terrific way to market your business. Call the chamber for more info!
The Chamber will work with you to get your Business's name out. Our Membership Directory can be found on our web site and is updated daily and provides an internet link to your web site. It lists businesses by business category, and town.
Grand openings for our new members are coordinated through the Chamber office. A Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce Grand Opening banner ($100 value) is available for a two-week time period. We will coordinate the event for you and contact news media and local and Chamber officials. Contact Cathy Duncan at the Chamber to arrange your Grand Opening!
Chamber membership brings a note of credibility and distinction to a business. Calls to the Chamber for business information are referred to our members.
The Chamber offers a wide variety of business seminars and workshops throughout the year. Real Estate Continuing Education Training Classes, Human Resource Seminars and workshops held after breakfast meetings are a few examples. We also hold a Sexual Harassment Prevention Training Seminar, twice a year, which meets the State of Connecticut requirements for two hours of sexual harassment training for supervisors and managers. Contact the Chamber if you are interested presenting a seminar/workshop.

The Chamber has 14 County Divisions where local interests are addressed. In addition, the Chamber has 20 Business Councils and Committees to address specific issues:

The Chamber has a number of special programs including: the Business Education Partnership Program; the Middletown Mentor Program; the Middletown Small Business Development Center, the Connecticut Small Business Development Center, the Middlesex County Substance Abuse Action Council (MCSAAC), the Side Street to Main Street Business and Leadership Development Program and Workforce Development Programs which include the Middletown Summer Youth at Work Program and the Cook Chef Program.
Employee Assistance Program Consortium (EAP)
The Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce Employee Assistance Program is designed exclusively for Chamber members and especially for smaller employers. The program is provided by Middlesex Hospital and Solutions EAP, a program of Behavioral Health Connecticut, LLC. Now employers of all sizes can benefit from EAP services at affordable prices.
Chamber members receive preferred rates on all Chamber programs and activities, as well as discounts on the use of Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce mailing lists. Members may request a complete mailing list of all Chamber members or may choose to target areas by zip code.
Monthly Calendar and Weekly Emails
In order to keep in touch with what's going on, the Chamber Bulletin is emailed to our entire membership (over 2,270 members) once a week, publishing all upcoming activities for the week ahead. Our Monthly Calendar of Events is also emailed once a month with information on future events.
Chamber Staff is available to answer your questions and assist with your business concerns from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
